Where is the property?
'Platypus Burra' is a 250 acre privately owned property fronting the Macquarie River, located 30 minutes outside Bathurst, NSW. Bathurst is a 3 and a half hour drive from Sydney.
How can I get there?
The property can be accessed by road, and requires 4WD access to the main house. If you do not have a 4WD we can collect you up from the main gates at McIntosh Road and transport you to the main house.

What does the retreat include?
Package includes morning and afternoon tea, lunch and 6 hours lessons per day with a professional artist/teacher. Materials and equipment are not supplied.
Accommodation options are available both at Platypus Burra and locally. Please contact us directly to discuss which accommodation would best suit your requirements.
Arrive at the amazing venue each morning, for a cup of coffee and a chance to chat with your teacher. Then head to a location on the property and spend a relaxing few hours creating and collaborating surrounded by nature. Then take a break, enjoy lunch back at the main house, before you return for the afternoon's session.
What is the cost?
Class prices vary depending on whether a resident artist is running tutorials, or we are holding an Open Day. Please check the Bookings page for details of classes, visits and accommodation.
Payment may be made by credit card or bank deposit. To ensure your place, payment must be received before the commencement of the class.
You will receive a confirmation package upon payment, with details of what to bring and the agenda.
